Previously the draft Copdock and Washbrook Neighbourhood Plan was offered to the village in a
parish referendum that took place on 24 March 2022.
Government rules stipulate that a plan can only be adopted if it is supported by more than half of
those voting on the day (not the whole village) and, as this wasn’t achieved, the Plan was formally
rejected.
We distributed a leaflet to all residents in July 2022 informing you that the Neighbourhood Plan
Steering Group had been re-formed with a view to re-drafting the Plan. We also held a well-attended
drop-in event at the Village Hall at that time to provide further information and to answer questions.
Pre-Submission Consultation on Draft new Neighbourhood Plan
We’ve now reached a major milestone with the consultation on the new Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
Consultation runs from 11 March until Friday 28 April, a period of just under 7 weeks. This is your
chance to say whether or not you support the content of the new version of the Plan or would like to
see some changes.

The new draft Neighbourhood Plan and supporting documents are listed below.
